Each month brings stories of the changing seasons, garden adventures, holidays, everyday observations and the simple joys that make ordinary life so special.

From time to time, you may also find a few little surprises tucked inside your envelope – perhaps a postcard, a bookmark, a favourite recipe, pressed flowers or another seasonal treat.

And because every pen pal deserves to feel celebrated, you'll also receive a handwritten birthday card each year.

My hope is that every envelope brings a few moments of quiet pleasure and feels like hearing from an old friend.

Railway View Cottage Letters is a one-way correspondence – rather like receiving a letter from an old friend each month.

You're always very welcome to send me an email at betsy.newberryrvc@gmail.com. I do so enjoy hearing from my readers, whether you'd like to say hello or tell me how much you enjoyed a letter, even if I can't promise a handwritten reply.

Each letter is handwritten by me before being tucked into its envelope and posted by Royal Mail Second Class during the first week of every month.

Most letters arrive within a few working days, although every now and then the post can be a little slower than usual. If your letter hasn't arrived after 10 working days, simply send me an email and I'll happily pop another one in the post.

There's something rather lovely about seeing a handwritten envelope waiting on the doormat, and I hope each letter brings a little smile when it arrives.

There are three ways to receive letters from Betsy:

One letter from Betsy, with a little extra tucked inside.

Three Letters from Betsy — £24
Three consecutive monthly letters, with occasional little extras along the way.

A Year of Letters — £75
Twelve monthly letters from Betsy, occasional little extras, a birthday card and a Christmas card.

All prices include UK Second Class postage. There are no recurring payments or automatic renewals — you simply choose the bundle of letters that suits you.

From time to time, I may need to increase the price for new friends as the cost of paper, postage and the odd jam jar seems to creep ever upwards. However, if you're already one of my pen pals, your letter price will stay exactly the same for as long as you remain subscribed.
